Chardham Yatra

Day 1 - DELHI TO HARIDWAR (225 KM/5-6 HRS.DRIVE)
After an early start from Delhi on reaching Haridwar, check in to the hotel. In the evening, visit Har Ki Pauri Ghat to enjoy the Ganga aarti. Rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight at Haridwar

Day 2 - HARIDWAR – BARKOT (210 KM/8-9 HRS. DRIVE)
Start early in the morning for a drive to Barkot via Dehradun and Mussoorie and Kempty Falls. On arrival at Barkot, check in to your hotel. Overnight at Barkot.

Day 3 - BARKOT – JANKI CHATTI (45 KM/ 2 HRS.DRIVE) – YAMUNOTRI – (TREK 2½ HRS.) – JANKI CHATTI (TREK 2½ HRS.) – BARKOT (45 KM/ 2 HRS.DRIVE)
Early morning drive on the last motorable road of this route towards Janki Chatti, and from here a 6 KM trek to Yamunotri (Pony or a Doli (palanquin) are also available. The trek takes about 2 to 3 hours to complete. After the darshan at the Yamunotri temple, return to Barkot the same way. Overnight at Barkot. YAMNOTRI
Br> Yamunotri is the source of the Yamuna River and the seat of the Goddess Yamuna. The temple is situated at an altitude of 10,804 ft. The holy thermal springs at Janki Chatti (7KM) is another attraction here.

Day 4 - BARKOT – UTTARKASHI (100 KM/ 4 HRS.DRIVE).
In the morning depart for Uttarkashi. The route is beautiful, with wonderful views of the Himalayas. On reaching Uttarkashi, check in to the hotel. In the evening, visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. The beautiful temple offers spectacular views of the Bhagirathi river and the surrounding mountains. Overnight at Uttarkashi.

Day 5 - UTTARKASHI – GANGOTRI (100 KM/6-7 HRS.DRIVE) – UTTARKASHI (100 KM/6-7 HRS.DRIVE)
In the morning depart for Gangotri, on the way, at Gangnani take a dip in the holy Rishikund hot spring. The route passes through the Harshil valley known for its natural beauty and majestic mountain views and deodar forests. On arrival at Gangotri, take a dip in the holy Ganges river “called Bhagirathi here” and then walk to the Gangotri temple to offer prayers. Later return to Uttarkashi. Overnight at Uttarkashi.
GANGOTRI
According to Hindu legends, the Ganges (Mother Ganga), descended from heaven to earth at Gangotri, when Lord Shiva released the mighty river from his locks. The actual origin of the river is at Gaumukh in the Gangotri glacier, 19 km away from Gangotri, and is accessible by trekking. After it originates from Gaumukh, the river is known as Bhagirathi and it acquires the name 'Ganga' after the river Alaknanda merges into it near the town of Devaprayag.

Day 6 - UTTARKASHI – GUPTKASHI (210 KM/9-10 HRS.DRIVE)
Early morning drive to Guptkashi. On the way, you can see the beautiful Mandakini river at Tilwara. The river flows from Kedarnath and will accompany you to Guptkashi. On arrival at Guptkashi, check in at the hotel. Overnight at Guptakashi.

Day 7 - GUPTKASHI – GAURIKUND (30 KM/2 HRS.DRIVE) – KEDARNATH (16 KM/TREK 4-5 HRS.)
In the morning drive to Gaurikund and from there, it is a 16 KM trek to Kedarnath. Options are there to either trek or ride a pony or a palanquin. On reaching Kedarnath, check in at the accommodation. After freshening up, visit Kedarnath temple. Overnight at Kedarnath.
KEDARNATH
Kedarnath temple is one of the most sacred pilgrimage centers in India, located on the bank of the Mandakini river at an altitude of 11,755 ft. Kedarnath temple is one of the 12 Jyotirlingams of Lord Shiva. HELICOPTER SERVICE IS AVAILABLE FROM HELIPADS AT PHATA, SERSI, AND GUPTKASHI IN CASE YOU WANT TO SAVE TIME FOR YOUR KEDARNATH DARSHAN. (TO COMPLETE IT IN ONE DAY).

Day 8 - KEDARNATH – GAURIKUND (16 KM/TREK 4-5 HRS.) – GUPTKASHI (30 KM/2 HRS.DRIVE) – BADRINATH (200 KM/8-9 HRS.DRIVE)
After an early morning start from Kedarnath, return the same way to Guptakashi and then onward to Badrinath. On the way to Badrinath, we cross will Rudraprayag, Joshimath, and Govind Ghat (the base camp for Hemkund Sahib and Valley of Flowers). Upon arrival at Badrinath, check in to the hotel. If time permits a dip in the holy Tapt Kund, a hot water spring. Later visit the temple for the evening aarti. Overnight at Badrinath.
BADRINATH
Badrinath or Badrinarayana Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple is located at a height of 10,278 ft. along the banks of the Alaknanda River. It is open only for six months every year (between the end of April and the beginning of November), because of extreme weather conditions in the Himalayan region. The temple is also one of the 108 Divya Desams dedicated to Vishnu - holy shrines for Vaishnavas - who is worshipped as Badrinath

Day 9 - BADRINATH – RUDRAPRAYAG (160 KM/5 HRS.DRIVE)
If time permits, another visit to the Badrinath temple, and then depart for Rudraprayag. Overnight at Rudraprayag.

Day 10 - RUDRAPRAYAG – RISHIKESH (150 KM/ 4 HRS.DRIVE)
Early morning drive to Rishikesh. On arrival at Rishikesh, check-in at the hotel. After freshening up, visit Laxman Jhula, and Ram Jhula and see the evening aarti at Parmath Niketan. Overnight at Rishikesh.

Day 11- RISHIKESH – DELHI (250 KM/8 HRS.DRIVE)
In the morning leave on time for Delhi.
