Amarnath Yatra
Day 1 - SRINAGAR - SONAMARG (80 KM/3- 4 HRS. DRIVE)
Meet on arrival at Srinagar airport and drive to Sonamarg. On arrival at Sonmarg, check in to the hotel. Overnight at Sonmarg.
SONAMARG
Sonamarg is situated at an altitude of 2730 m, with beautiful snowy mountains as a backdrop and the Sindh river meandering through the valley it is a sight to behold. Sonamarg is the base for undertaking the yatra to the holy Amarnath cave.
Day 2 - SONAMARG - NEELGRATH HELIPAD (4 KM/20 MTS.)
Drop in time to Neelgrath helipad in time for the helicopter ride to Lower Cave helipad (500 m from Amarnath Cave).
GUIDELINES:
The helicopter operates between 6:00 a.m. And 5:00 p.m. Amaranth Ji holy cave is 6 Km from Panchtarni helipad, (around 2-3 Hrs, one way) You can hire a palki or pony at your own cost or you can trek. After Darshan, eat at the Langer and then return to the Panchtarni helipad to take the return flight to Neelgrath helipad at Baltal. Pickup from the helipad and drop to Sonamarg. Overnight at Sonamarg.
Day 3 - SONAMARG - SRINAGAR: (BY ROAD, 83 KM, 3 /4 HRS.)
In the morning drive to Srinagar. On arrival at Srinagar, check in at the hotel. Later proceed for a tour of Srinagar city visiting the world-famous Mughal Gardens, the Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (the Abode of love), and Shankaracharya Temple. In the evening a Shikara ride on the Dal Lake. Overnight at Srinagar.
Day 4 - SRINAGAR AIRPORT DROP
Drop in time to Srinagar airport for your onward journey.
